The delightful Lana Gatto VIP is a luxurious and versatile merino-cashmere blend, making it our favorite yarn for cardigans, knitted scarves, and accessories! It features soft merino wool combined with ultra-soft cashmere. The versatile color palette offers a wide range of options.
VIP is a high-quality, fingering-weight yarn that is relatively thin, suitable for knitting with needles around 3-3.5 mm. The composition is 80% soft merino wool and 20% luxurious cashmere.
The fluffy, three-ply Lana Gatto VIP yarn glides smoothly on the needles. We recommend VIP for those with sensitive skin, as well as for cardigans, drapey scarves, baby knits, and blankets.
Recommended needle size: approximately 2.5-3.5 mm. A 50g skein is quite economical and can be used to knit a basic hat or a pair of warm and soft fingerless gloves. For a women’s medium-sized cardigan, you’ll need about 350g, depending on the pattern and gauge.
Care: Hand wash, lay flat to dry. We recommend regular airing for wool garments, which helps extend the time between washes.
