Mulesing-free yarn refers to wool that is sourced from sheep that have not undergone mulesing—a practice primarily used in Australia to prevent flystrike in Merino sheep by surgically removing skin around the sheep's breech. Many customers prefer mulesing-free wool for ethical reasons, as mulesing is often viewed as inhumane.
